ICU on a Saturday afternoon

Dear Meredyth...
It's Saturday afternoon and I'm in the ICU Waiting Room. The drinks are awesome! I'm particularly fond of the cranberry juice. It's cold and refreshing so you might want to try some when you awaken. Carrie is back with you in your room where she spends a great deal of time these days. I'm not allowed because we don't share the same DNA. Let that be of some comfort to you! Today the waiting room is rather crowded so you must have visitors close by. I remember you telling me that when the temps in the winter reached in the 30's it would seem like a heat wave. Your predictions were correct. Today the snow is melting leaving ice patches that can surprise you from time-to-time. I took down my Christmas tree today, washed my cassock for the first time (our secret), and tonight am having dinner with your neighbors, the Milicans. Be assured of my prayers for you at this very hour.

  2. We noticed little rice like looking snowfall when we walked to the bookstore. Also, how the fog had left a frost looking brilliance on the trees. Later that evening the newsman advised us that it is called "hoars frost". wow, sounds kinda weird, but it is beautiful. Not cold enough for snow, I guess, but frost from the fog.

  3. Meredyth,
I was out the other day without our camera.
The frost on the trees was so beautiful. I was going to pick up Bonnie at the airport on Saturday. Some little weed like plants on a bridge looked like very fine jewels.
I told Bonnie it seemed to me it was how our Lord sees us. The trees along the road normally are beautiful, but the detail is just not so clear. But that morning, the frost outlined every detail of every limb, branch, and bud. It was like God was showing me what the light of Christ does when it touches our souls. It reveals everything, and God makes all of it beautiful.
And I miss you this <-------------------> much.
